Why You Need Proxies for RuneScape
Jagex links accounts by IP address. When one account gets banned, every other account that has ever logged in from that IP is flagged for review. Running multiple bots from your home IP is essentially putting all your eggs in one basket.
With dedicated proxies, each bot (or small group of bots) gets its own unique IP address. If one goes down, the others stay safe.
ISP Residential vs Datacenter: Which Should You Use?
ISP Residential Proxies are the gold standard for RuneScape. These are real residential IPs assigned by Internet Service Providers, making them virtually indistinguishable from a regular player's connection. They're more expensive but have the lowest ban rate.
Datacenter Proxies are faster and cheaper. They work well for gold farming and high-volume operations where you expect some attrition. At $0.72/IP for bulk orders, you can run large farms cost-effectively.

- Main accounts / money-makers: ISP Residential (1-2 bots per IP)
- Gold farmers / disposable accounts: Static Datacenter (2-3 bots per IP)
- Mule accounts: Separate ISP Residential IP, never share with bots
Tips to Avoid Bans
- Never mix bot and main account IPs
- Use SOCKS5 protocol for game clients (most bot clients support this)
- Assign a consistent IP to each account — don't rotate
- Space out account creation across different IPs
